Warranty management
Keeping track of your warranties is crucial for ensuring you can claim your rights if something goes wrong with your purchases. The Warranties feature in the app helps you manage all your warranty information in one convenient place, ensuring peace of mind.
Why Track Warranties?
Protection: Warranties often cover repairs or replacements for faulty products. If you don’t keep track of them, you could miss out on these benefits.
Ease of Claim: Having all the details of your warranties in one place makes it easier to claim your rights without having to search for lost receipts or documents.
Reminders: The app can give you a visual indication when a warranty is close to expiring, giving you time to act if necessary.
How to Use the Warranties Feature
Accessing Warranties:
From the main menu, tap on Warranties. This will bring you to the main warranties screen where you can see all active warranties at a glance.
Adding a New Warranty:
Tap on the + icon in the top right corner of the Warranties screen.
Fill in the details such as the product name, purchase amount, starting and expiration dates, and any relevant notes.
Optionally, you can link a transaction and upload a picture of your receipt or warranty card. This is highly recommended to ensure you have all necessary documentation in case of a claim.
Keeping Track:
Once added, your warranties will be displayed on the main screen with a countdown showing how many days or months are left until they expire. This visual reminder helps you stay on top of your warranties without the need to manually check each one.
Editing or Deleting Warranties:
You can easily edit or delete any warranty by selecting it from the list and choosing the appropriate option.
Best Practices for Warranty Management
Keep Receipts: Always attach a digital copy of your receipt when adding a new warranty. This ensures you have proof of purchase easily accessible.
Monitor Expirations: Regularly check the expiration dates of your warranties. If a warranty is about to expire, consider whether you need to make a claim.
Stay Organized: Use the notes section to jot down important details, such as the store where you purchased the item or any specific terms of the warranty.
By using the Warranties feature you’ll always have the information you need to protect your purchases and claim your rights effectively.
