# Hide category balance

The **Hidden Balance** feature is designed to help you avoid the temptation to overspend by concealing your available funds.

* **Hiding a Balance**: If you find yourself tempted to spend money just because you see it in your available balance, you can hide that balance. This will make the amount invisible in your budget overview, helping you focus on what you've allocated rather than what’s left to spend.
* **Example**: Let’s say you have $500 saved for a weekend getaway next month, but every time you see that extra $500 in your balance, you’re tempted to dip into it for impulse purchases. By hiding the balance, you won’t be constantly reminded of that money, making it easier to stick to your budget and reach your savings goal.

Hidden balances are a great tool for staying disciplined and ensuring your money is used for the things that truly matter to you.
