Adjust how your categories look so the budget shows what matters to you at a glance. These options are in More › Settings, and also on the Budget screen under ⋮ › Customize interface.

Appearance​

Under Appearance:

Icon style​

  • Default: displays both the icon and its background.
  • Icon & Border with Transparency: shows the icon framed by a border, on a transparent background.
  • Only icon: just the icon, with no border or background.
  • Hide icons: removes all icons for a clean, minimal design. Want emojis instead? See Missing your emojis?

Row density​

  • Default: standard row spacing.
  • Compact: brings content closer together, so more categories fit on the screen at once.

Budget Display​

Under Budget Display:

Category progress indicator​

Shows a progress bar for each category. Choose:

  • None: no progress inside the available funds or below the categories.
  • Embedded: progress shown inside the available funds field.
  • Available funds progress: progress of the available funds shown below the category name.
  • Target progress (Pro): shows the target progress instead of the available funds.
  • Hybrid progress (Pro): shows the target progress when the category has a target, otherwise the available funds.

Available funds day indicator​

Adds a marker for today's date to the progress bar, so you can compare how much you've spent with how far you are into the month. It works with Available funds progress and Hybrid progress.

  • None: hides the day indicator.
  • Start to end: the month starts on the left, and the indicator moves right as the days pass.
  • End to start (Pro): the month starts on the right, and the indicator moves left as the days pass.

Indicator color scheme​

Sets the progress bar colors (not available when the indicator is None):

  • Use category color: matches each bar to its category's color.
  • Adaptive: the bar color reflects the fund level, based on your color scheme.
  • Funded vs underfunded: colors show at a glance which categories are funded and which aren't.

With Adaptive, you can turn on Custom progress bar colors to use your own colors instead of the color scheme. Pick a color for each level: Well funded, Moderately spent and Nearly depleted.

Pro

The progress styles marked Pro come with Pro. On the Free plan, picking one shows what Pro offers.

  • Show category spent amount shows the allocated and spent amounts under each category. See Budget preferences.
  • Larger balance display shows available balances in a larger format. See Other settings.
  • Shape changes the shape of the icons and amounts. See Shapes.
