Beyond Budget is a budgeting app for Android, iOS and the web. It helps you plan your money, track every transaction and understand where it goes, whether you're just starting out or you've budgeted for years. Here's what's inside, grouped the way you'll find it in the app.

Get it on Google Play or the App Store (coming this December), or open the web app at app.beyondbudgetapp.com. Your budget syncs across all of them. A few features depend on the device; see Platform availability.

Free and Pro

The free plan has no ads, no data selling, and includes most features with some usage limits. Pro removes the limits and unlocks the advanced tools. See Does the app offer a free plan? and Upgrading to Pro.

The budget cycle in five steps

  1. Record income as it comes in: enter it yourself, import a bank file, scan a receipt or, on Android, let the notification importer do it.
  2. Allocate that money across your categories and targets so every dollar has a job.
  3. Spend and track: each expense comes out of its category, so you always know what's left.
  4. Review and adjust: use Projections and the insights to check you're on track, and reallocate when life changes.
  5. Start the next month: leftover money carries over so you can reallocate or save it.
