Upgrading to Pro
Pro removes the free plan's limits and unlocks the advanced tools. You buy it in the Android or iOS app, and it belongs to your account, so it works everywhere you sign in, the web included.
To see what Pro adds and how your usage compares with the free plan's limits, go to More › Plan limits & usage (called Your Pro features once you have Pro). The limits are also listed in Does the app offer a free plan?.
Plans
- Pay monthly (Most flexible): recurring billing, cancel anytime.
- Pay yearly (Most popular): recurring billing at a lower price per month.
- Pay once (Lifetime): billed once, access for a lifetime, including future updates. See the lifetime plan.
Some plans may come with a 7-day free trial; when they do, the plan shows Free trial* and the full amount is billed automatically after the trial.
Buy Pro on Android or iOS
- Tap the Pro row at the top of More (for example Upgrade to Pro).
- Choose a plan.
- Tap the button at the bottom and complete the purchase with Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS).
Pro unlocks straight away. On iOS, if the App Store takes a moment to confirm, the app shows Purchase received and unlocks Pro automatically, usually within a few minutes. You don't need to buy again.
Pro also covers your family group: share it with up to 5 members.
Using Pro on the web
Pro can't be bought on the web. When you open the Pro screen in the web app, it shows Subscribe in the Beyond Budget app with links to Google Play and the App Store.
- Install the app on your phone and sign in with the same account you use on the web.
- Subscribe there.
- Back on the web, tap I already subscribed. Pro is now active on the web too.
If the app replies that the account doesn't have Pro yet, check that you subscribed with the same account. It can take a minute to show up.
Switching devices and stores
Your Pro follows your account, not your device or store. If you subscribed on Android, you have Pro on iOS and the web as soon as you sign in, and the other way round.
A subscription can only be changed or cancelled in the store that sold it. So if you subscribed through Google Play and open the Pro screen on an iPhone, the app tells you you're subscribed through Google Play instead of offering a second subscription.
Switch to yearly
On a monthly plan, the Pro row in More suggests Switch to yearly & save big!. Open the Pro screen and tap Upgrade to annual. This works in the app from the store that sold your subscription.
Manage or cancel your subscription
Open the Pro screen and, under Subscription & Billing, tap Manage subscription. In the app that matches your store, this opens your subscription in Google Play or the App Store. Otherwise the app explains where to go:
- Google Play: on your Android device, open the Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions.
- App Store: on your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
Restore a purchase
Bought Pro before, but the app doesn't show it (for example after reinstalling)?
- Go to More › Support and tap Restore purchase ("Reclaim past purchases and subscriptions instantly"). You can also find Restore purchase in the ⋮ menu of the Pro screen.
- If it works, you'll see "Glad to have you back!".
If the app can't restore it automatically, contact us from More › Support and we'll sort it out.
Restore purchase is available in the Android and iOS apps. On the web, use I already subscribed on the Pro screen.
