Scratchpad
The Scratchpad is a notepad that lives inside your budget. Use it for anything that doesn't fit a transaction or category: money to-dos, a gift budget you're still working out, account numbers to look up, or notes for your partner.
Open the scratchpad
- On Home, tap the ⋮ menu at the top and choose Scratchpad.
- If you've pinned it, tap the Scratchpad card on Home.
- In a family group, tap Scratchpad in the Family hub.
Write notes
Tap and type. The scratchpad saves as you go, and the top bar shows when it was last updated (Last update: …). It holds up to 5,000 characters.
From the top bar you can also:
- Pin it to Home, so it appears as a Scratchpad card you can open with one tap.
- Change its Color.
- Add reminder: up to 5 reminders linked to the scratchpad. They're listed above your notes; tap one to change it.
- Clear all the text. This can't be undone.
Shared with the budget
The scratchpad belongs to the budget, not to you. Everyone who can edit the budget, such as family group members you've given access, sees and edits the same notes. Each budget has its own scratchpad.
