Reminders

Available onAndroidiOSWeb

Reminders nudge you at the right moment: to pay a bill, check a category before payday, or come back to a purchase you're sleeping on. You can attach a reminder to something in your budget or create a general one, and see them all in Reminders.

Free and Pro

On the Free plan you can have 5 reminders. Pro raises this to 400.

Create a reminder

General reminder

  1. Open the side menu and tap Reminders (under Budget settings).
  2. Tap Create a reminder (or the + button at the top).
  3. Set the Date, Time, Frequency and a Description, then confirm.

Reminder for something in your budget

Open a category, account or payee, and tap Add reminder in its Reminders section. You can also add reminders from a debt, a shopping list (and Sleep on it items), and the scratchpad. These reminders show what they're connected to under Connection, and tapping that opens the linked item.

Frequency can be One off, Daily, Weekly, Fortnightly, Every 4 weeks, Monthly, Every two months, Quarterly, Every 6 months, Annually or Every 2 Years. The time can't be in the past.

See and change your reminders

Reminders lists everything that's coming up, grouped by date and in time order. Tap a reminder to change it, or delete it from its menu.

Notifications

Reminders arrive as notifications on your phone, so the app asks for permission to send notifications the first time you add one. If notifications are turned off, the app shows a banner with a button to open your phone's settings.

Not available on the web

The web app can't show notifications or ask for permission to send them, so you can't add most reminders there. Create them in the Android or iOS app: they stay in your Reminders list on every device.

tip

Future transactions can notify you before they're due too. Choose how early with Reminder for transactions in More › Settings › Notifications & Alerts.
